Developer DevOps

We are developing and supporting several tools (commercial, internal and open source) to support our large Ericsson R&D community. We are looking for a full stack software developer to join our small Agile team. The role covers the full application lifecycle from design, development, testing, deployment, automation, operation, user support and troubleshooting.

In this role you will work within a DevSecOps Agile team as a full-fledged member, with a wide array of technologies: Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript/Angular, Linux, Git, Jenkins, Gradle, Docker and test automation frameworks. This is a great opportunity to work with Agile & DevOps, following industry best practices and tools.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, test and maintain Java-based applications and software
• Code, test, debug and collaborate with teams to ensure efficient and scalable software solutions
• Develop/debug software tools that support developers' needs, such as web-based tools, log analysis tools, debug tools and software management tools
• Stay current with the latest advancements in software development, cloud technologies and data engineering best practices
• Collaborate with Technical Managers & Senior Data Architects to translate architectural designs into functional scope and code
• Research and evaluate new technologies to improve our product portfolio
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to define requirements for new features
• Design and implement new features while working in a team-based Agile environment

The skills you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of related experience in an Agile DevOps team
• Proficiency in code review practices to enhance code efficiency and maintainability of Java applications
• Expertise in writing efficient Java code that adheres to secure coding practices
• Excellent knowledge of Java/JVM and related frameworks, especially Spring and its sub-projects (Boot, MVC, JPA, etc.)
• Recent experience with Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript/Angular, Linux, Git, Jenkins, Gradle, Docker and test automation frameworks
• Experience with Linux, including shell scripting
• Experience with relational databases (especially MySQL) and SQL
• A team player who actively engages in team discussions and facilitates constructive feedback
• Good communication skills; written and spoken English

It's an advantage if you have:

• Front-end development (Angular/TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
• Knowledge of the IT security domain including vulnerability management and asset hardening
• Version control tools (Git, Gerrit) and monitoring/troubleshooting Java applications on live systems (Glowroot, CheckMK, VisualVM, JConsole, Prometheus/Grafana)
• Python 3
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Basic knowledge of AI tools/LLM
