This role of Field Service Manpower Planning Coordinator for DACH/Benelux aims to ensure business continuity within the Siemens Energy Gas Service which is responsible for coordinating distributed field service personnel in Central- and Western Europe. The position is critical for maintaining operational stability by managing the deployment of technical staff to various customer projects. To meet these objectives, the role is structured around three primary functions: operational resource planning, multi-stakeholder coordination, and performance reporting. This involves creating and managing deployment schedules, acting as a central point of contact for resource allocation, and analyzing data to optimize workforce utilization. Given this focus, the ideal candidate will be a senior professional with experience in project or resource scheduling within a technical or engineering environment. They must demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, proficiency with planning software, and the ability to work independently to solve complex logistical challenges.

How You’ll Make an Impact

50% Resource Planning & Scheduling

• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed deployment schedules for field service personnel across multiple projects in the Europe region.
• Analyze project requirements, workload, and resource availability to create realistic and achievable staffing plans.
• Utilize scheduling software to assign resources, track assignments, and manage real-time changes or conflicts.
• Prepare and validate schedules for key project phases, including commissioning, start-up, and planned maintenance events.

30% Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

· Act as the central point of contact between project managers, service line managers, and field staff for all scheduling-related matters.

· Collaborate with third-party contractors and internal teams to ensure resource plans are aligned and achievable.

· Communicate schedule updates, resource constraints, and deployment confirmations to all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

· Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals or support staff involved in the planning process.

20% Performance Reporting & Process Improvement

• Prepare and distribute regular status reports on resource utilization, scheduling adherence, and project coverage.
• Analyze scheduling data to forecast future resource demand and identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Assist in establishing and monitoring project performance indices related to resource management and efficiency.
• Recommend and implement remedial actions to address scheduling deviations or resource shortfalls.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex scheduling processes and work independently with limited supervision
• Highly organized with excellent project planning, workflow management, forecasting, process improvement skills (MS Project, Salesforce)
• Strong Team Player with good communication skills
• Good analytical, troubleshooting (problem solving) and investigation skills
• Experience with and comfortable working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization
• Good understanding of our company organization, including head offices and regions
• Some technical knowledge about quality insurance, subcontracting and EHS is preferred
• Fluent in English is a must
• German language knowledge is an advantage

About the team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

The DACH/Benelux Field Service team covers on-site inspections and major overhauls for Siemens Energy industrial gas turbines ( MGT and others) on the markets of DACH and Benelux, working closely together with local Field Service Organizations, Project Management and our Field Service Expert technical support team.
