Procurement Lead (m/f/d) for Vantage Towers - fixed term 24 months

Our Supply Chain Management team drives operational efficiency, cost management, and sustainable vendor relationships across Europe. As a Procurement Expert, you serve as the central point of contact for local procurement operations, executing strategies and managing supplier partnerships with impact.

Your Responsibilities:

• Market Lead & Operations: You manage local operational and strategic procurement activities across direct and indirect product and service categories, acting as the primary point of contact for local market requirements.
• Value & Performance Delivery: You ensure all procurement activities deliver optimum quality, timing, and cost efficiency while leading local tactical negotiations and supporting complex group-level transactions.
• Supplier & Market Intelligence: You proactively manage strategic partner relationships, continuously analyze market trends, price changes, and supply risks—including energy and technological shifts—to drive category optimization.
• Process & Strategy Alignment: You implement and enforce central supply chain policies, prepare annual procurement plans, and collaborate cross-functionally with legal, logistics, and technical teams.
• Sustainability & ESG Integration: You drive corporate sustainability by embedding ESG principles into local supply chain activities, ensuring vendor compliance, and contributing to sustainability reporting and initiatives.

Your Profile:

• Educational Background: University degree in a business-related field.
• Professional Experience: Solid experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, including expertise in stakeholder mapping, category strategies, and managing end-to-end procurement processes. Experience in the telecommunications sector is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Confident handling of modern SCM category management practices and tools. Knowledge of procurement systems such as SAP (MM, FI) or Ariba as well as public procurement regulations is an advantage.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding negotiation, analytical, and communication skills combined with a results-driven, highly independent mindset and strong internal customer orientation.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English (C1 level). Knowledge of German or another European language is an advantage.

At Vantage Towers we operate in 8 different European countries. This role will be based in Vantage Towers - Hungary/Budapest with collaboration in Romania.
