Experienced C Developer

We at Ericsson Packet Core (PC) development are a very passionate team of developers on a mission to build the world's best User Plane. We build mobile systems that make remote health care and self-driving cars possible, and we are just at the beginning of our 5G journey.

We are responsible for the development and maintenance of the Packet Core User Plane, which handles packet routing and forwarding in the mobile data network between the internet and the radio network. All 3G, 4G and 5G mobile traffic passes through it, running on carrier-grade routers, virtual machines and containers. Our products put high technical requirements on the team: high-performance application development, low-latency requirements, multi-threaded programming, embedded development, DPDK knowledge and framework design. We develop in Linux, commit to Git and use modern CI/CD with Jenkins (over 2500 commits per month).

What you will do:

• Work with some of the best software developers in Hungary

The skills you bring:

• BSc or MSc level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge
• 4+ years software development experience in C
• Experience with Linux, Git, Gerrit, IP networking and debugging
• Good knowledge of network protocols
• Experience with virtualization and cloud-native technologies (Docker/Kubernetes/Helm)

It's an advantage if you have:

• Telco knowledge (3G/4G/5G)
