Role overview
Building and scaling a Salesforce platform is challenging. Doing it across multiple countries, teams, and business environments is even more complex — and that's exactly the context of this role.
We're seeking a Salesforce Development Lead to own the E2E design and development of the OneSFA Salesforce platform. This role bridges Product and IT Delivery, ensuring that business requirements are translated into high-quality technical solutions and developed efficiently. You will lead the execution of the sprint planning, manage the development lifecycle, and build and guide our internal Salesforce engineering capability.
Based in Budapest at Magyar Telekom, this role operates within Deutsche Telekom's broader European organization, supporting a digital product that spans six European participating countries (NatCos).
What You'll Do
- Technical Execution: Own end-to-end design and development of user stories from finalized business requirements through technical design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Technical Orchestration: Bridge Product, Delivery Lead, Architects, and Engineering to translate business needs into technical execution
- Development Ownership & Stakeholder Management: Own development commitments and provide clear updates on progress, risks, and blockers
- Technical Leadership & Team Management: Lead the engineering team (Salesforce, QA, DevOps) and build internal capability within the engineering team
- Sprint Execution & Planning: Run sprint planning, refinement, and day-to-day delivery tracking
- Technical Oversight & Quality: Ensure solutions follow best practices and meet quality standards (code, CI/CD, release readiness)
- Roadmap Coordination: Align timelines, dependencies, and delivery with the IT Delivery Lead
- Risk & Dependency Management: Identify and manage risks, bottlenecks, and technical debt
What You Bring
- Relevant university degree (IT, computer science, engineering, business informatics or a comparable field)
- 5+ years in technical project management / delivery roles, with strong Salesforce experience (Sales / Service Cloud)
- Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, AI for Development, Apex, integrations (APIs), and data migration strategies
- Proven track record (3+ years) in leading engineering teams—including Salesforce developers, QA, and DevOps—and successfully driving delivery outcomes.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum (Waterfall is a plus) with E2E delivery ownership
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, AI tools and CI/CD
- Excellent in written and spoken business English, as the role operates in a multi-country Deutsche Telekom environment (Written and spoken Hungarian is strong advantage for local coordination)
Preferred certifications:
- Salesforce Platform Developer I / II
- Salesforce Administrator or Advanced Administrator
- Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant and/or Service Cloud Consultant
- Salesforce Application Architect / System Architect track is an advantage
- Agile/Scrum certification (PSM, CSM, SAFe or equivalent) is an advantage
- ITIL Foundation is an advantage
What Makes You Successful
- Ownership Mindset: You take full responsibility for delivery and drive outcomes, not just coordination
- Business & Technical Alignment: You connect business needs with practical technical execution
- Communication: You communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
- Continuous improvement: You always aim for improvements and efficiency gains
