Senior Azure Databricks Platform Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Azure Databricks Platform Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable data platforms in Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in shaping cloud infrastructure, enabling secure and reliable data solutions, and driving DevOps best practices across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to support Databricks and data platform workloads.
• Build and maintain Azure resources including Resource Groups, VNets, Key Vaults, Storage Accounts, and Azure Active Directory (AAD) integrations.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Apply DevOps best practices for automation, deployment, monitoring, and platform reliability.
• Ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and security teams to support enterprise-grade data platforms.
• Troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure and platform performance.
• Contribute to standards, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required skills & experience

• Strong experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
• Minimum 6 months of Databricks experience is expected.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Resource Groups, Virtual Networks (VNets), Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage Accounts and Azure Active Directory (AAD).
• Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Experience operating and supporting Azure Databricks platforms.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity management.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in a senior-level role.

Nice to have

• CI/CD pipeline experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools
