IT Solution Manager

About this role

We are seeking an experienced IT solutions professional to design, shape and oversee scalable, secure and future-ready technology solutions that align with business objectives and technical standards. This role sits within Platform Architecture and Design and focuses on translating business requirements into robust solution designs, supporting software delivery, and driving alignment across stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, strategic thinking and collaborative working practices to help deliver enterprise-grade digital solutions.

What you’ll do

• Review business requirements and ensure alignment with end-to-end customer journeys, translating needs into user stories, technical specifications and architecture designs.
• Design modern, scalable, secure and cost-efficient IT solutions that support long-term business objectives and technical standards.
• Identify and manage dependencies across systems to ensure effective solution integration.
• Oversee software delivery and operational readiness, ensuring solutions are delivered to agreed quality standards and timelines.
• Consolidate business requirements into technology roadmaps that deliver measurable business value and align with broader organisational priorities.
• Collaborate with user experience specialists, software engineers, testers and DevSecOps teams to support seamless implementation of solutions.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, project teams and external partners to drive successful outcomes.
• Contribute innovative thinking and informed decision-making to solve complex technology challenges.

Who you are

• You have a minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in IT solution design, system architecture or software engineering.
• You have experience leading complex technology initiatives and delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
• You ideally bring experience in self-service or e-commerce web application development and implementation, with a strong focus on customer experience.
• You possess strong knowledge of system analysis, software development and project management practices.
• You have hands-on experience with agile delivery methodologies such as SAFe, Kanban, Lean or similar frameworks.
• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• You demonstrate strong critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• You bring expertise in solution design, project delivery and technology environments within large-scale organisations, ideally within telecommunications or related industries.
