Senior Software Application Engineer – Dynamics 365 Support

What success looks like in this role:

We are seeking a Senior Software Application Engineer to serve as a key escalation point for Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure-hosted applications. This role is responsible for managing complex incidents, performing root cause analysis, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement across support processes, documentation, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot Dynamics 365 Commerce, CRM, and Case Management solutions.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex application, integration, and data-related issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate escalations to L3 or vendor support teams when needed.
• Manage incident triage, prioritization, and resolution through ServiceNow.
• Support Power Apps, Power BI, and Azure-hosted environments.
• Create and maintain high-quality SOPs, knowledge articles, and support documentation.
• Identify recurring issues, recommend process improvements, and contribute to automation initiatives.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers while providing guidance on troubleshooting and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams on incident status and resolution progress.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• 5–8 years of experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce, CRM, and Case Management applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident management experience across complex environments.
• Experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power BI.
• Strong understanding of integrations, data flows, and system dependencies.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, Confluence, Jira, and Azure environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and take end-to-end ownership of complex issues.
• Proven experience mentoring team members and improving support processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• ITIL Foundation (v4 or v5) certification required.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SAP or other integration platforms
• Power Automate, automation initiatives
• AI-enabled support solutions
• Certifications such as ITIL Intermediate or PRINCE2 Agile.
